How is this true? Where is the list of £10M+ thirtysomething players. Nolito is the nearest I can come up with as he signed for Citeh for £14M but he's 29 and a lot, lot better than Williams.

what are you even on about. Nolito isn't a center half, and hasn't had years of playing and captaining in england.

Not rating him as a player or captain I can understand, but working yourself into a rage over a player to the point where you want them to do one is pretty sad Davey. Whatever level you would put him at he has had many good performances for us over the years.
