Arthroscopy for meniscus tear

Wife has an op on her knee early Dec, her meniscus is all mangled and it needs trimming/repairing/removing depending on the severity of the tear.

Needs to submit a leave of absence form at work but doesn't have a clue what to expect for recuperation.

Anyone had a similar experience and share the sort of timeframes for standing/walking/running etc?

I've had a few done in my playing days, some I walked out, no sticks and pain free, others were quite painful with restricted movement so was on sticks for a week or two. It will depend on how much routing around they have to do. I was always given the option of local or general anaesthetic. I always went general coz I'm a sheitehouse

Cheers, the NHS website had some general times but was looking for some anecdotal evidence as websites are often on the conservative side.

One of my employees had surgery to repair a meniscus tear back at the end of August.

He's just now walking without a limp.
