Unfortunately early indications are he is not much of a manager. I'm not even saying that he should have Arsenal anywhere above midtable because the squad is poor but 10th seems out of reach for them right now.

seems to want to remake the squad from the ground up, its hard to do that in the prem. Lesser teams have to worry about relegation, bigger clubs have to win now. Might be decent in the championship. Though you get fired from Arsenal, its easier to get another big job flaming out there than flaming out in your 1st job at Forest.

I think some of them are realising what a genius Wenger was. To be getting top 4 and FA cups with some of those teams he had at the end was unbelievable but their fans demanded the prem and the CL. It’s not going to happen under these owners and Arsene knew that. They’ve just kept all the same problems but replaced Wenger with far worse managers.

the irony is that if Wenger had Leno Tierney Gabriel Partey Ozil Aubemayang Pepe Lacazette Saka Willian he’d probably have them challenging this season.

Wenger's problem never lied on the pitch, they always played well. His problem was he kept selling his best players to clubs above him. FFS if players want to go, that's OK, just ship them out of the country.
