Arteta stitches

Fellaini did, The big Greek had to get stiches in his leg.

Why was Ireland subbed against us during the first half? Because Heitinga gave him a kick. What about Pienaar's leg breaker on Mascherano? Arteta's eye poking technique was there for everyone to see against Blackburn, sharp and right to the point.

Fellaini's elbows against a dozen teams last season, Saha's right hook against AEK Athens, Neville's robust tackle on Ronaldo last season etc.

When the tackle is fair, like todays by Hibbert on Shorey, no one can complain. It is the no-mans-land of the more vulgar tackles that happen that for some reason we seem to suffer more than we give out that is the talking point. Horne used to put one in, so did Parkinson. Hutch knew how to throw a nasty one in in return. Cars has been mentioned, he knew how to kick back. Peter Reid was a scientist at that game. Get tough or get eaten.

How many different ways does it need saying?

You posted the pic of a snake and a mans face. Not me.
And if I remember correctly, I mentioned the Pantsil leading arm in the thread opener. That and Pienaar getting kicked everywhere.
Do us a favour, stay on topic laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Cheers :)

Bite. What we are missing according to you, about as on topic as you can get really.

You remember wrong cause you didn't mention Pantsil leading with the arm. You mention Arteta got took out twice when he only got took out once by fouls (for which their player was booked) and the second time which left him needing stitches was actually an accident caused by Arteta heading the back of the other guys head.

Nothing to do with anything you've been going on about.

Anyway apparently the topic of this thread is Arteta's stitches so how many did he get? Bet they looked nice.

Yeah, welcome to the topic. And who was the player booked?

Your basically repeating yourself despite the fact that I've mentioned many incidents where Everton players have done the things you've mentioned. And Carsley wasn't dirty, he was hard but fair, he didn't got out of his way to hurt opposition players, he could simply put a tackle in. Exactly the same as Neville, Heitinga and Fellaini.

Have a look at Cahill's karate kick on Ashley Young earlier in the season, another example before you. It was Dirk Kuyt esque. Also, according to the Observer John Heitinga is the third highest 'interceptor' in the League, only trailing Barry Ferguson and Nigel De jong.

I agree with d-brag (pronounced d-brague). This thread is kind of pointless. Arteta was hurt by an accident in midair. No need to beat up the other player for that. It happens.

Thank the lord the Observer referee the league. Where is Ashley Youngs kick to the nuts on Pienaar in that list? Faubert wrapping his leg around Sahas stomach? Carragher going through Pienaar on 20 seconds? Smalling today. Etuhu on Neville at the cottage. A newcastle player whacked Rodwell at newcastle last term.
No steel, no fighter in our side, a few that can get tasty when they are not injured, but where is our hammer? And it is the same point because there is still no answer. Pace is great until the opposition hobble it. Aerial technique is great until it takes an elbow to the eye socket. Awesome feet and amazing passing men nothing when the spaniar doing the business gets a few to the achilles.

All finess and no fight = loss.
All fight and no finess = loss.

Really simple equation.

And yet again, today showed we do not have the steel in midfield, Mikel was hammered twice in aerial challenges in as many minutes today, and trudged off for stitches before half time. Where (apart from the corker Hibbert put on Shorey) was the steel, the bottle, the battle, from us today? Pienaar got kicked all over the pitch again. Where is the foot in, the reducer?
There is a reason we suffer with injuries, it is because the opposition do not fear us physically, they fear us in terms of football technique, but look at Liverpool, one striker kicked to bits all season and can't see the season out.
There are thugs in the league, and hampering the opposition is their job, so, where is our player that will kick back?

(Note: two penalties not given today, seems the ref thought Smalling was in a Man Utd shirt already when he put a Jamie 'Judo' Carragher hold on Victor, + the handball)

You speak but all i hear is "blah blah blah"
