Arteta has been stinking the place out for the past few weeks.

Scored against Man Utd. Scored against the RS.

Hyperbole. He didn't have a good game tonight. Pienaar was [Poor language removed] too.

Hardly relevant -- he's not a bloody striker. He's our playmaker, and today he made more chances for them, than he did for us.

Think Moyes was correct in bringing him off. Just isn't really happening for him this season. However, don't think a thread title as "stinking the place out"is what he deserves. Just going through a bad spell of form imho. He already proven his loyalty and affection for this club beyond any doubt. He'll come good again, and when he does, the results will improve also.

Maybe he has Steven Gerrard syndrome (not that one, the other footballing one)
Sick and tired of being the sides midfield dynamo and jack of all assists, the burden was eased by Pienaar, who is now on his way out, so the possible looming threat of an even greater burden on his shoulders might be the reason he cant quite get into form.

He's probably tired of watching the ball be hoofed over his head. Then again, he's done next to nothing when he's had the ball so far this season.

I've defended him of late, he was getting back to his best against Liverpool, Stoke and Blackpool, but I can't defend his last two performances, woeful and distinctly average.

Needs to improve, as do a few of his teammates.

If there is something that can be used in his defence, is that there is a real lack of movement from the centre forward (ie Saha today), trying to feed a ball to a stationary striker's feet double marked is hard work, and the easier ball will always be sideways.
A second out and out striker could open more options for him.

Arterta, Torres. Rooney. All had children in the past 18 months or so. All played gash for a good while now. I domt care how much you earn - it affects you. I know billions of people have children, but it stands to reason.

Whats happening to our precious little Spaniard?

I understand that movement in front of him may not be of the highest quality but the fella hasn't put in a decent cross/free kick (Bolton goal excluded) since about 2008.

His passing is getting sloppy, he dauldes in possession and frequently loses it (nearly cost us our 3rd today via Nasri).

People complain about Bilyaletdinov and yet our highest earner (and one of the most technically gifted players we've ever had) slips under the radar after putting in performances like these?

Sort it out Mikky.
Cahill, although never fruitful on the eye, got stuck in, was always available, and, scored his 6th goal of the season.

Arteta OUT!!!!!
