Arteta future in doubt?

I think most of us will admit that if Utd, arse, rs or chelski put a bid in for him he's leave, thats the way football has gone, but that matter of fact is that right now none have shown interest, the only interest has come from smaller clubs.

I couldn't see him going to the rs. The other two yes, but not them.

Ya never know Tex theres the spanish connection there that could actually make that his more preffered destination.

Besides, its a return home to Spain what will eventually turn his head.

Yeah but it isnt it common sense that most players who are playing for the top/most successful clubs in their division usually play for their national team?

Christ, if Titus Brambel was playing for Manure week in week out he'd get into the England team - regardless of talent.

He wouldn't be in the Spain Squad no matter who he played for, he isn't good enough. Fabregas isn't guaranteed a starting spot for Spain, and they have a few midfielders who are a lot better than Mikel.

He's good enough for the squad which is all he wants. Put it this way even though he's having a dip in form he's still in better form than Alonso and quite frankly is a better player.

Even Guillem Balague the Spanish journalist/Liverpool fan said he is good enough for the squad and expects him to be in there next year when Aragones leaves.

At some future date Arteta will leave Goodison Park, FACT, the world will still go on turning, each of you will need the loo everyday.

Based on his present performances none of the so called elite would want him. He has been off the pace for a while and his dead ball play is embarrassing. The real Mikel Arteta is a joy to behold, possible the best on ball player we've had since Young, the guy wearing his shirt at present is an impostor. If a big offer came in take it because I feel Mikel may be crocked

Flak jacket donned awaits incoming:(

No you're right Monty.

He's had a poor year by HIS standards. It's to the point now where I DON'T want him taking any set pieces (Stevie P or Baines anyone?)

Sad but true.

Pienaar is the future for set pieces and free kicks. Arteta seems to have a sizeable chip on his shoulder about the international thing.

He wont go this season, and unless its a spainsh club he wont be going anywhere...

Just an Agent trying to get attention...still yet to hear a retraction from arteta though

An amazing player but if he doesn't want to be here, he might aswell leave.

That go's for any player....if they dont want to be here, they can go.

But i think this is all [Poor language removed] as always, why would he just sign a 5 year contract if he was'nt happy. An we'll add quality in the summer.

He's going Nowere.

To be fair, and im my defence, i posted this just as a point of discussion about some latest news. It hasnt had me fretting all day(y)

Maybe I'm a bit barmey most of the time but I just can't see him leaving next year or the next to be honest. We have him for four years and he will at least be with us the next two. I believe Moyes when he says we have turned the corner and are now a buyer of excellent talent not a seller. IMWT.

if he was having a better season he would be in the spain squad..fact is they have tons of quality midfielders and arteta has been injured alot and hasn't played to his ability
