You may as well transfer players around to different countries, and then smaller countries who have superstars will end up playing for France - oh they already did didn't they? - Vieria, Desailly, Trezeguet, and so on... Nah he's Spanish. Its different when people have been raised in England but he hasn't. But tbh it annoys me that people can chop and change countrys. Like how can one Boateng play for Germany and the other play for Ghana? And I'd be a bit 'wtf' about someone with a name like Agbonlahor in an England shirt, it just looks and sounds silly even though the lad is English (I think)
