Arteta doesn't perform in big games

Regardless of what you think of David Beckham, the one thing he could be counted on was to stay after training to work on his set piece delivery.

He didn't get to be the best in the world at set pieces by just showing up and taking them. He worked and worked and worked at them.

Perhaps this is an example that Arteta could follow.

Every game is a big game when you follow Everton.

too right it is.

pat nevin said the same was true of artetta at rangers as well with regard to playing in the big games.

does anyone have a link for the pat nevin goal when he chipped jim leighton at the street end ? jimmy greaves described it as 'giving him the turkish slipper'

I find Artetas dead ball disappointing to say the least, but as for not performing in the big games could it not be that these teams know hes the danger man and set out to nullify him .

Maybe he should start wearing his wifes skirts as well.

Ha ha what an unaprecitive lot we are, i wonder would Arteta perform better in big games if he played for Man U, the answer yes definitely, lets jace it when crosses into the box fail, its give the ball to arteta to hope he can make something happen. Its hardly tactical geniues to identfy this and double up on him.

Hes by far and away our only creative force and as such is to eaisly isolated and nulified!

Cause and effect my firends!

He Hardley Ever Performs, BUT When He Does He's One Of The BEst PLayers on The Pitch!
