But you would moan and play the 'no ambition' card if we didn't bid, so really Everton can't win can they?...
 

Would be great if we signed him. At first I wasn't sure about bidding 10-12 million pound for a 27 year old. However, after watching him in Euro 2008 and literally destroying the Dutch, I would love him at Everton. Get him, Huddlestone and Fernandes and maybe another midfielder and I think we'll be fighting for a top 4 spot come next season.

as the saying goes,

If you aint innit, you wont win it !!

So if we dont make a bid, no one makes a bid and he went to the bar code or man kitty, you would say, why didnt they just put a bid in !!

On a less serious note though. You would have a great point except for the fact that we were interested in him before anyone else. Don't follow Everton if you want to cry. Follow someone that will humour you.
 

But the fact now the big boys are putting bids in somehow doesnt lead me to beleive he'll go to City or Magpies, I'll maybe be sayign, why did'nt we put a bid in 6 months earlier when we had a chance

Maybe we did make our interest known, and they said wait until after the Euros, praying that their boy plays well and orchastrates a move to Barca.
