Manager has said that he needs more players in.

This is going to take time and we have to try and show patience with someone.

Our midfield is poor but with Bernard not fit to start and Gomes still mending up who do we go with? We’ve seen the calls for an end to the Gana Morgan axis and we have it.

Plenty of calls for Tosun to be dropped and he has been. Plenty of calls for Rich to play through the middle but again Bernard not fit. Calls for Niasse as well but you could argue this is the manager who signed him at Hull opting for someone else.

Coleman injured which leaves Kenny, Plenty of calls for Baines to be replaced and Digne has done that. Holgate poor last week and Mina not ready so Keane and Zouma start at centre back.

Davies being captain is a head scratcher but the manager has maybe identified him as a blue with the requisite passion and a supporter of the club to lead by example.

I don’t know who id have picked today but I do accept that it’s going to take a few windows to change. We’ve got to allow time and while we all want to win every game, we’ve got a way to go yet.
