Just this "giving up", barely anyone else I know would just surrender and hide in the way some of these Everton players do

It's one of those where you have to take the positives. We've played well at the start if a rebuilding process and we're on the right track.

There's still so much crap in this squad. How on earth can we be aiming to challenge the top 6 with players like Davies, Kenny, Keane and DLC starting?

The sad fact is that the club aren't aiming for top 6, we're nowhere near that level. The squad is in such a bad state that it will take probably 4-5 seasons of good buys to get out of it, maybe then they could actually be ruthless enough to get rid of players who aren't good (of which we have many right now).
