A ridiculous scoreline based on five minutes at the end. They were outrageously lucky to win the game full stop but 2-0 is a robbery that Dick Turpin would have been proud of. What a poor unadventurous time wasting dull side Arsenal are and they had completely run out of ideas until Pickford handed them the points by turning into Superman.

The keeper & 2 players Moyes chose to play out of position...

Makes you wonder if we had players in their correct positions...
I mean it'd be great if Armstrong didn't completely forget someone could be behind him - this would've never happened. Or if Garner hadn't done the exact same thing.

Fair to point out Illi also forgot to close down Dowman for the cross itself for some reason though.

No complaints from me, the team played as well as it could, undeserved loss in the end we were unlucky, but that's the difference Arsenal took their chances, football can be a cruel game. One thing is for sure we need a new centre forward next year, Barry was awful when he came on, Beto tried manfully but is plainly not good enough.
We were never really getting a result today - we tried hard, set up well, and all the rest of it, but the challenge has got to be providing an Everton manager with a few more options than simply parking the bus at places like this. Moyes does it well, but the chances of even drawing at places like this are small when that's your only real option. The real goal, never spoken of course, is damage limitation. We need to be going there with a side that can genuinely score goals. The likes of Beto, Barry and McNeil are never going to give you that platform to truly worry a side like Arsenal.

Death from a 1,000 free kicks performance from the referee. You always see it when a side plays against one of the Premier League's chosen elite clubs. Not overtly obvious but means the other side can never get a foot hold of the game.

That being said neither of our strikers could hold the ball up anyway.

For all their expensive players Arsenal are nothing more than functional. We beat ourselves with poor decisions rather than them overcoming us.

Sickening commentary performance the way they went on about the Arsenal youngster - almost seemed fixed that he played a part in both goals.

I didn’t expect anything from this game but the fact we were so close to a deserved point is what makes it worse for me, if we lost by conceding a couple of goals earlier in the game I could shrug my shoulders a bit but that late on is gutting.

Did he win a single header or challenge? Strolling around up front vaguely blocking passing lanes is not really what you want from a decent PL forward.
I've said it a lot he just jogs instead of busting a gut to close players down etc. At least put some effort in, instead of just almost standing next to players that go past you as though you are not there
