Ive said a couple of times we need to be looking to take scouts from other clubs who find gems.
We need people who find say Onana before we have to pay 30mil for them or the Richarlisons before we pay 40-50mil

We had a glorified scout as a dof who found haaland but got told no by the upper echelons.

Blame the board for not letting our dofs and scouts do their jobs.

But by signing players with no prospect to be better in the future are we not just doing relegation with extra steps?

Because it's what's currently happening realistically - we're marching down to fight to not get relegated if possible this year, again, 3 years in a row.

There is a middle ground there, and Saints and Leeds aren't relegated because of their 5 young starters between the two teams lol

Didn't we take one from Brighton recently? I agree but also even if we scout good players it's seemingly mostly blocked by our risk averse board/chairman/owner...
