Apparently it’s a sweet deal for both mate 100k a week for the lad and a 2.5 mill loan fee for Villarreal, less six months of his wages.

Signing a player without a manager is actually a sign a club is well ran.

No, it is not. Yes the recruitment team should identify players but a well-managed club would involve the manager in the process and he should have a final veto. It is the manager that sets the tactics and has to work with the player on a day to day basis. It is ridiculous to sign players without the manager's involvement.
