He's not great with his back to goal and he does rely on the ball given into him in space. Which probably dosent suit us one bit
I'd say he's hit and miss with his back to goal. Certainly needs to be more consistent with it. He's never going to be the one you launch a ball to and expect him to beat a 6ft 4in centre back to the header, although he's not terrible in the air. Holding the ball up with his back to goal, I've seen some good stuff and some equally not so good stuff. What he does better in those situations than Dom is to turn those back to goal situations into a situation where he gets faced at goal and can be direct. But generally speaking, he needs to get more consistent at that bit. He does have some quality on the ball, more so than any other striker we have, but I wouldn't be comfortable with just replacing him Dom and continuing to play the way we've played the last 18 months. We would probably be poorer for it, although the presence of
Ndiaye there might change things a bit with the approach play
