Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
Jagielka is in, as is Pienaar and it sounds like Baines is only a matter of time. Add in Lukas and the permanent signings of both Da Silva and Howard, would that make for a good summer do you think?

*grins* howard was not a summer signing my dear boy. hic. neither is baines here as yet. *hic* lukas will get as close to the first team as jim royle to the washing up. who is left? da silva? hic. see howard. hic. jags and pienaar. not really the cavalry for europe.

4 million spent so far. satisfied my arse.

Rehab ? ;) :D

Da Silvas on the way up. Keeps popping up in the right places this summer. Lukas is a player but one for the future could be loan material. I can't wait to see Pienaar in a Everton jersey doing his bit. Seems to me that if we can boost VDM's morale a little we could be ready for takeoff.

I don't really care about how much the players we've signed has cost, it's what they will add to the team that's important for me.

Jags & Lukas is the only permanent new signings this summer (with the addition of youthplayer Sheppard), with Pienaar & DaSilva as trialists for a year and Howard is just a closing up permanent-deal done earlier in the previous season.

Lukas is for the future, will perhaps get a try in a cupmatch if we get a favorable draw in them and as a sub in a game or three.

Jags has the potential to be a great purchase if he fits into the squad... which I hope he does.

Pienaar & DaSilva will give us more options in the midfield.. and it's good to feel that we now have some competitions for the slots there.. a few years ago we didn't have that.. we had a midfield composed of mostly hardworking, headdown... physical players, with a lack of creativity.

If we get Baines and another striker (if BT leaves) then I'm happy... but a great winger as well or Fernandes would make me feel much, much better.

If baines signs I'll be well happy, if smith signs too I'll be very happy, I like the way we do business and continue to do business.

6m for baines might seem like a lot but he is a young lad and is very good at what he does, solid in defence and quality going forward.
Would you pay 6m for a 22 year old Valente?

Is the Vogel deal completely dead? We just need a few experienced bosmans to shore up the ranks. Don't forget the quality we already had before we signed new faces and extended contracts. The squad might be small, but as Carsley says thats working in our favour.

RIQUELME! HIC!
I would love him to come,i,m happy with jagielka and piennar but we still need some bodies especially if bt goes.
My worry is if arteta gets injured we will struggle on the creativity side i forgot how good he was till i saw him the other night.
Lukas looks one for the future and da silva looked poor i can,t see him breaking into the first team this season,we have a great chance to stabilise as a top 6 club don,t mess up kenwright

I read he still talking up his chances of joining us, apparantly he's waiting on a payment from Betis.

Has everyone forget about Vogel, i´m still confident that he will join us as well.

No, at least I've not forgotten about him. But since it's out of our hands at the moment we've got to look at the players we have signed and those closest to being signed.

Anyone else get the feeling Moyes might be looking to bring through a few 'yoof' players again this season. BV etc
