I think there have never really been any pubs in the city centre that are exclusively "Everton pubs" or "LFC pubs" but, years ago, when I lived in Liverpool, these pubs were, or seemed to be "Everton". The Excelsior, The Ship and Mitre, The Denbigh Castle, Thomas Rigby's. At least the landlords were Blues. Is that the case now? Was it ever like that?

Not sure on the ship and mitre but the others are certainly blue pubs.

Bridewell great too, their other pub. The bosses are the best people in town.

Excelsior obviously too.

Went the lock up the other week to see what it was like.

5pm on a Friday and it was completely dead.

It’s a mad place for a pub like. Everything else around is so nice and it looks like it’s been dropped off from county road

I miss The Elm Tree (next to the texaco garage). Wasn't a particularly great pub but always used to park there and have a drink with my dad before the game.

The Barlow Arms (aka the Dark House) in Barlow street, off Westminster Road, great place for blues before and after the game.
