instead of gear answers

what abar out of your mates or back in your school

pretty even for the most part for me. maybe edging towards the rs, from what i can remember. thats in bootle though, so woolish to some lol

I always had a theory they are well distributed throughout, but there more blues than reds in the north of the city and vice versa in the south of the city. A good even amount but you'll tend to meet or see more of the other in those sides?

No? Maybe just me then.

Going off my school experience I'd say there were more reds but the split between those who were genuinely interested in footy as opposed to those who just jumped on the bandwagon made the split 50/50.

Having said that, the class I teach now has a few more blues in. I think the gap has probably closed over the past 10 years as we've got more competitive.

That's presumably the upper grade you're teaching now, I thinks there's a big distinction based on intelligence. If for instance you were teaching the remedial kids, at a remand centre, or drug rehabilitation place you could expect minimum 85% to be reds.

In 2006 the RS forgetfull player sinima pongolle commented on this :

“I’ve been in this country for three years so I know all about the rivalry between Everton and Liverpool, but everywhere I go in Liverpool, the football fans I meet are all Everton fans,”

Far more Match going scousers go to goodison than to Anfield . Most Scouse reds I know have never stepped foot in Anfield . I don't know any blues who have never been to goodison

There will be more people in the city who say they 'support' liverpool than Everton but in my opinion if you don't make the effort to go to Anfield at least once in there life yet live in the city they are hardly what I would class as a fan .

I won't even engage in conversation with this type of red. They are the type to call the phone in after the game yet admit they never even watched the match

I'd poison there food if I could

Genuinely lol at that last line there mate. Absolutely love it ;)

Wasn't it Moyes who said that everywhere you went in Liverpool there seemed to be more people wearing Everton shirts ? Yes he was getting the fans onside I know, but still.

I always felt it was about 50-50.

Count yourselves lucky though as in Ireland us Blues are vastly outnumbered. It can be unbearable at times as they don't even hate us - that is reserved for Utd - but their condescending attitude stinks.

This post should have a like from every forum member.
It is succint, to the point, beautifully delivered with a wickedly dry sense of humour.
Quality !!

Growing up in Wirral (not scousers, but hey) there were probably 5-10 reds to every blue at school, but far more of the blues paid attention to the games outside of gloating the Monday after a derby.
