Not any more he's not .

Anyone else notice Fergie mentioned us , as being potential rivals , before BOTH Spurs and the RS in that interview y'day ???

Fact is , WE NEED TO PROGRESS . Tangibly
= WIN SOMETHING !!!

Not only fergie, Arsene said exactly the same thing.
We are only 1 player away from winning something, one Cantonaresque type of player.

I think the latter half of last season has shown people that we can match anyone, and put long runs together.

With no injuries, the same vein of form, a good start and a little luck there's no reason that we can't compete at the top of the league.

It's impossible to last a full season without injuries to key players.
It's all about building up a gap when we have all out top players available that counts, which means we have to win every game that we are suppose to win until we hit a slump or hit by injuries.

I assume it was Sky . He uny speaks to them an' MUTV .

I heard it on talkSPORT .

Ferguson, who stopped short of suggesting that 'noisy neighbours' Manchester Citycould be potential challengers, feels the battle for a top four finish will be as intense as ever this season.

He added: "The interesting one is Everton. They have got all their players back. The first half of last season was a nightmare for them, with the injuries for major players like (Mikel) Arteta and (Phil) Jagielka - they were big losses to them.

"Now all these players are fit, they could be an interesting prospect for the season.

"I say that with the events of last season, when Tottenham got into the top four, so they broke that monopoly of established teams like ourselves, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. I expect Everton to do very well this season."

He's on one now.

I liked this bit.

All the players will be treated the same and they will play if I think they are performing well. No one gets treated any differently. Whether they are English, Spanish, French or have just signed a new contract, there will be no special treatment for anyone. The only treatment the players will get here is the Scottish treatment from a manager trying to get the best team out on the pitch to win.

So there you have it, Scotland have made Everton nearly ace again. England are [Poor language removed].

The manager said: "There has suddenly become a focus on young English talent, and we have always promoted young players at Everton. We have got them in the team very early and we will continue to do that, but there is no guarantee for anyone to start. It's the same for Phil Neville, Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill or Tim Howard.

Yeah ok Dave if you insist.
