Apartments in Liverpool

I lived in an apartment that was a stones throw from Sefton Park and Lark Lane for a while, and would recommend it. The place is beautiful and you get a lovely bit of space compared to the city

Only downside is, majority of them are so old. You’re going to encounter a lot of issues. We had two windows that couldn’t open, as an example, and an ancient water heater that had just hot water for a shower a day.

The city is a great place to live and all, but prices are astronomical for the space you get.

Do your digging, don’t just jump in on a whim or someone’s advice.
Conn is spot on. You’d be daft to live in the city centre (as is most places) we have boss transport links, a semi decent train service and you can be in the city centre in 30mins for most places. So check out the wool map and see where you fancy and good luck.

Evening blues, I'm looking at moving into or around Liverpool in the next year or so for work and to stand on my own two feet.

Interested to hear of anyone whose lived in an apartment court and any recommendations of the nicest areas and ones to avoid. I don't drive so ideally would be near a train station, but would need somewhere with visitor parking etc.

Areas I'm looking at are: Aigburth, St Michael's Hamlet, City Quays, Mariners Wharf.
I had apartments on Sir Thomas St which was great but rowdy and also in The Georgian Quarter which was pretty relaxed, the problem with living in town is I was always on the ale.

Sefton park or Princes Park are decent areas to look, you'll predominantly find house shares there though but, Garston,The Aigburth end is a great place to look for value and you're still close to all the good stuff.

This is the first time I’ve seen this since moving. Our closest station just avoids the Wales designation

I live in a McCarthy Stone apartment in Sidcup, London/Kent and saw this thread when searching for a different one. I thought it might be interesting to compare prices. Mind you, retirement apartment prices don't appreciate much as the sellers are usually surviving family keen to sell them off quickly. We're losing so many of those of us who moved in ten years ago, when it first opened, that I was going to suggest a conveyor belt to the ambulance parking slot.

Anyway....

Listen buddy, take it from me, avoid Aigburth, it's the south end, it's basically Birkenhead without water to cross.
Mariners Wharf is nice.
The Baltic Triangle is nice.
The Georgian quarter is nice
They are all basically in town
Crosby is nice down by the beach, a train ride of around 20 minutes into town.
