Apartments in Liverpool

Evening blues, I'm looking at moving into or around Liverpool in the next year or so for work and to stand on my own two feet.

Interested to hear of anyone whose lived in an apartment court and any recommendations of the nicest areas and ones to avoid. I don't drive so ideally would be near a train station, but would need somewhere with visitor parking etc.

Areas I'm looking at are: Aigburth, St Michael's Hamlet, City Quays, Mariners Wharf.

I could offer you some advice if you’d allow me to ?

Don’t stand on your own two feet as this will generally lead to you tripping yourself up and possibly falling over.

You can have that sage wisdom for free 😉👍

My lad lives right facing the 3 Graces in an apartment.
Not huge , but big enough for him and his girlfreind.

Fantastic views , very close to James st / Moorfields stations , walking distance for all the attractions. Buses close too.
Great restaurants and a plethora of pubs all around the area .
Has a parking slot in the basement he doesnt use ( i park when visiting ) plus plenty of pay parking nearby.

Of course it aint cheap , but for the location and everything being on hand that he needs its a real good fit for him.

Decent place to live there and some really nice apartments. I think the city has improved massively in recent years.

Absolutely

As I said it aint cheap , but the whole package is well worth it.
I always think most UK city centres have rapidly gone downhill whereas Liverpool has gone the other way. The continued redevelopment can only help. That's my blinkered opinion anyway. Obviously it's not without it's problems.

Yep
The change in the City Centre over the last 10 years is quite astounding.
Massive investment and a genuine willingness to take it out of the dolldrums to what it is now is something we are all proud of.

Entertainment , eating out , pubs , clubs , attractions and shopping to rival any major city.
It really has something for everyone .

Free. You can have it free of charge you can have it free. Its an adjective like the word green... can you have something "for green"? No!

Freeking Welsh. Staying there, mutilating our language.

I live right around St Michael’s, I can’t comment on the apartments around here but the area it’s is brilliant. Train into town takes less then 5 minutes, Sefton park and Lark lane are on your doorstep, you’re right by the water front and the walk down into town on a nice day is class. Aigburth is nice but it depends how far into Aigburth you are. If you’re by the cricket club it’s a bit further out then St Michael’s so if you don’t drive I’d stick to st Michael’s. The other 2 are nice places but to central. Honestly if you’re not from Liverpool try to be as close to town and lark lane as you can. Living in the city is fine but you won’t regret living near Sefton Park

I have a family member who lives in the area, and they really like it. A close walk to the city centre, Brunswick station nearby but also relatively quiet.

I lived in an apartment that was a stones throw from Sefton Park and Lark Lane for a while, and would recommend it. The place is beautiful and you get a lovely bit of space compared to the city

Only downside is, majority of them are so old. You’re going to encounter a lot of issues. We had two windows that couldn’t open, as an example, and an ancient water heater that had just hot water for a shower a day.

The city is a great place to live and all, but prices are astronomical for the space you get.

Do your digging, don’t just jump in on a whim or someone’s advice.
