Ive just installed Avira on mine, mate reckons its the dogs, along with a prog called MalwareByte, which he says is really good, just kills all that malware crap that i find worse than virii these days

I used to run Kaspersky Internet security for years, last year I tried Trend Micro Internet security it is same level but a bit cheaper. You have to pay € 80.- for a 2 year licence.

When I got connected to the www about 8 years ago I had Norton Internet security on board but I give you the strong advice to never use that crap fecking kind of antivirus programm. It makes your PC going extremely slow and I had 2 nasty worm infections despite regulary updating my system daily.

I also advice you to not use free programms such as avast or antivir, I tried them for fun on my old PC and always had a lot of viruses on it soon. Better spend a 30-40 quid for a years licence and safe yourselves nerves.

Ive installed avast on my pc and am now having major problems with it. It seems to stop me using internet explorer and everyday I have restore it from an earlier point. I cant seem to uninstal avast either, though Ive tried countless times. I'm a novice when it comes to anything like this. Would someone be kind enough to lay out some steps for me to get it back to normal. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. I'm on vista by the way, if that has anything to do with it.

I used AVG on Tower comp . Nitemare . Slow ?? Took about 25 mins just to get to desktop .
Now , gotta freebie off Norton . Happy days .
