I'd be shocked if we supported any other PL team and heard we were splashing £50m on Gordon.

Based on these latest stories he's 100% gone, and I'm fine with it. Sounds like the guaranteed money is well over 30 million which is a good deal for us even if the add-ons are totally unrealistic.

One article said they want him to provide competition for Reece James and I can't help but think, "competition at what? chess?" I like the kid, but I just can't imagine a situation where a manager would choose to play Gordon over a healthy Reece James.
