I think the problem is that it’s a deal worth £45m in total. In reality, probably £25m up front and then add-ons like winning the r league, CL etc pushing it up.

That is a concern yes - we want at least £40 million upfront with anything more add ons.

Honestly you can haggle over the add ons but 25m up front is still solid value

No chance. It only makes sense to sell Gordon if we get enough money up front to go out and get two top replacements.

If it wasn’t for Richarlison, Gordon and a few Pickford worldies then we’d have went down last season. Nailed on. Imagine selling two of them and then bringing in McNeil, Adams and Broja. Horrendous recruitment.
