This past season, he showed beyond any doubt that he can be a very effective option off the bench in the Premier League. Of that, there really isn't any debate.

Now, leading the attack week in and week out with consistent results? He hasn't shown that (yet). Will he? Who knows?

Agree with all that.
 
He won't be effective next season unless he learns something new. Against West Ham, James Collins had him in his pocket the whole match! James friggin Collins!!! Everyone knows what he does, what his move is. Hopefully Martinez will give him something extra or at least show him how to lay a ball off when he's got it at his feet.
 
He can do a job but he isn't good enough at the end of the day.

He should have won us the game at White Heart Lane in April.

Absolutely a perfect assessment of the Vic situation.
 
It's kind of a shame with Vic, when I first saw him in Big Dunc's last game I thought he was going to be sh*t hot.

Should he have been loaned when he was younger perhaps?
