We aint always this unfair when a players is going through a bad patch.
Really? Try listening to the dog's abuse that Hibbert gets on here and at the game. But then he's white and wouldn't fit your argument, would he?

And he is and has been a far better player and servant of the club than Anichebe ever looks likely to be. Sadly.

Anichebe is getting the same kind of abuse that VDM got and for the same reason. Because he has potential/talent and acts like he can't be arsed.

We know why Hibbert gets abuse - some fair some less so. But he didnt get ths abuse when he was 20 or recovering from an injury. And it was never this bad. Where is the Hibbert out petition, the vile abuse, the worst player ever stuff?

I thought Hibbert was pish against Birmingham on Wednesday - did he cross halfway? - especilly when Seamus was clearly up for taking them down the right. But a squeek on this ( and he played teh full 90, was I think the player most responsible for the Birmingham goal -( he lost his man at the back post) ?. But no, Its Victor - on for the last 15 minutes that get the dogs abuse and worse

I aint no pinko shrinking violet . Can dish out abuse llike the resyt of us - and against balck players when they merit it. And Victor merits on current form. But just look at the visciousnes and targeted nature of the abuse he get. Precisely what is said, how it is said. It's real nasty and Way out of proportion. Almost unique inm terms of player criticism at the moment - its almost as if everyone else is playing great.

There is an agenda here, and Im sure if I could be bothered I could go back to earlier posts by the worst offenders and all but prove it.

Criticise him, fine- but keep it proportional to his abilty

So my criticism should fall over a lot, complain and be ultimately completely ineffectual? Gotcha.

He's not a kid anymore (23 next month as I said before) so this is what happens. Lots of players have been through it -- Osman got a load of stick but he's playing very well of late. I (and many others) can deal with a player being kind of crap as long as he buckles down and works hard with a good attitude.

Oh and FWIW, all the UEFA highlights aside, I didn't rate him much pre-injury either.

As for the race card, it doesn't really work when the reason people get upset is we're all annoyed that Beckford is being taken off (or not started).

I aint no pinko shrinking violet .

Now he's having a go at pinko shrinking violets!

Anichebe doubled Nigeria’s lead with a well taken strike in the 47th minute. The burly striker latched onto a cross delivered to him in the Stars box and showed amazing control to head the ball down, turn and deliver a thunderous shot past Arnold Origi to light up the Abuja National Stadium.

...What?

EDIT: HAHAHAHAHA. 'burly'
