i think he will come good, as mention he is only 20 and training with the more senior strikers will improve his game, give the lad a chance

He's got massive potential, could easily end up being worth 10mil. By the same token tho, could easily end up not really going anywhere and be worth 2mil. Surely he's worth keeping for the possibility of the 10mil option?

Sure, no one's suggesting we bin him. My contention is that as he doesn't look like he'll make the grade as a premiership striker he might be better developing other parts of his game and dropping back down the park.
Just my opinion like.
I'd also like to see what Ossie could do played further forward. A goal every 5 .5 games isn't bad for wide midfielder of very little height.

I think I ended this thread on page one, no one else bother positing. There's no point. I came, I saw, I conquered.

TB or Toccy to his friends, 2009.

Toccy. I done you here. I foretold this. Sip from my talent spotting chalice.

Anyway, onto him. He got booed on the pitch today, which doesn't bode well for his future like.

He was infuriating me tonight. Never stops throwing his arms up in the air and pulling daft faces. If he played for Liverpool he would be the most ridiculed player in the league.

Anichebe, He promised so much 1/2 seasons ago he was big strong always looking to score a goal and he was young so he should get better as he gets older there lays the problem.

There has been little if no improvement in the big man, I know he has had lots of injuries with a major one last year. But he just does not look good at the moment.

Confidence could be a problem and injuries would of set him back, but come on Victor you are better than this, what has happened to you.

Good points all and a well reasoned post.

More please.

Clearly, he isn't getting better and the Goodison faithful are beginning to turn on him. So my question is, why does Moyes continue to play him? In my opinion, Vic should be taken out of the spotlight for a while and given a chance to regain his confidence in the reserves. Good opportunity to give Baxter and Gueye a run out instead.

Great point. I mean, it can't be doing him any good to hear himself being booed. No player wants to hear that. I don't care how thick skinned you are - eventually it gets to you. But I don't know if it's penetrating his thick skull. His brashness is becoming tiresome. I feel like he acts like he's the best striker on the pitch when he's on. News for you buddy - there's this guy named Beckford who has a much better attitude and has more goals than you. And he starts games.

It just rubs me the wrong way.

Whats worse for me, and him, than the booing is the ridicule that came form the stands when he came on last night, people around me were laughing and shouting, jump Victor jump.

He could have chased balls down when he didnt and he also fell over left wing top end and then whilst flailing his arms about at the ref the defender took the ball away from him when he could have easily won it.

He wouldnt get in my Sunday team at the moment I'm afraid.
