Angus Kinnear

He's ended up at Leeds, I think we should be after someone with bit more to them than that.
Was just going to post something similar, in that he’s gone from Arsenal to WHAM to Leeds so arguably been on a bit of a downward career trajectory, but I’m not sure if that’s fair, as like the rest of us, he’s likely gone for more senior positions and bigger wages so 🤷🏻‍♂️

True. Sometimes you have to move down to get a bigger job. Apart from Leeds getting Red Bull as part owners, (& I'm not sure that is anything to do with him) what have they done? They are where they should be with a large stadium, big fanbase and parachute payments.

Surely it depends on the roles he's doing.

If you go from bin emptier at Arsenal, to facilities Manager at West Ham to CEO at Leeds, that's an upward trajectory.

Looking it up , looks like the current member of 49'ers that is running Leeds is a chap called Paraag Marathe. Looks like he is taking over at Rangers next year. Putting 2+2 together it looks like Red Bull taking over Leeds so the big two in ownership are getting pushed out/Marathe to Rangers and Kinnear to us

Looks like a Leeds reject, steer well clear of this joker I would think

Quite shocked TFG haven’t gone for someone from Italy for this role tbh, suppose they want someone with working knowledge of the Premier League

It’s most likely true he’s moved to “lower” clubs for better roles. Very normal. Slight concern though that the higher level clubs he has worked for didn’t see his potential and tie him down to avoid future disruption. Could have easily thrown another couple of hundred grand a year at him to make him part of succession planning, if he was clearly talented.

I wouldn’t necessarily draw a line saying they HAVE to have worked at a PL club. And certainly wouldn’t aim so narrow as to say they HAVE to have worked at a PL club that has moved grounds. A interesting short term bonus maybe (although all contracts for running BMD will already be in place), but a billion miles from being a pre-requisite.
