Angus 'happily dissatisfied' Kinnear

Or we destroy dead to be a PL club who will pay 10’s of millions for unproven players and develop them for 1-2 years time.

We were coming from a historical low base of investment in the squad ad with many needing/wan thing to have moved on.

People are dissapointed I get it - but realistically most were saying in Aug, we’d be a lucky mid table team - we’ve changed expectations - that’s a good thing.

We changed expectations because other teams put in stinker seasons. Spurs, Forest, West Ham, Chelsea, Newcastle, all teams that have challenged Europe recently blew out early doors. We were never doing better than a low 50s finish but a compressed mid table combined with Europe going down to 8th raised expectations. We are now where our football probably deserves to be, it’s not been very good apart from a handful of games.

Jaysus. Really pushing up those standards with this stuff...

Sigh.

But you're right. Nobody expected all our probems to be solved in 12 months. We also did not expect to see 9 of the players who started the final home match last season still being at the club and central to our plans today.

We expected tangible progress. We got a point more at home.
I was wrong here.

We actually got a point less...

12 months ago we hadn’t sank 100 mill into the squad to stay in exactly the same place.

I’d be amazed if Dibling Alcaraz Aznou aren’t on the phone to their agents wanting out.

Gueye Keane McNeil all a year older and still in the first team.

I think we’re worse off than we were.
Just imagine how bad it will be if Moyes is given control over recruitment this summer, mate.

Dear Angus,

Whenever you are in doubt about what Evertonians aspire to please refer to The club’s motto and the quotation enclosed.

John Moores “happily dissatisfied” meant a taxi for the manager at the time. Let’s keep that as a standard to be maintained.

Yours,

An extremely unhappy Evertonian.

Yep and we're saddled with Mr Mediocrity and look like we are going to give him another pot of money to blow. Franky it's all this bullshit that Moyes will stabilise us without any acknowledgement that he could put us in a worse position. See the £500m plus he wasted at West Ham for reference.

But who's fault was that? We were told Moyes signs off every player yet he kept our biggest summer signing on the bench all season. Röhl also played just a few matches. Club signed five players on permanent transfers plus loaned three so where's the actual problem? Add Armstrong and he could have had 9 different players. Dibling, Barry, KDH, Alcaraz, Aznou, Röhl, Grealish, George, Armstrong. Just how many players should they have bankrolled? Would it had made a big difference if they had brought in another 5 or 6 players and blow up wage budget?

Treating the fans like idiots will only get him so far.

The owners will hang him out to dry when it comes time for a head to roll.
