Evening fellow Blues. Andy is my uncle and he leaves behind my aunt, 2 daughters and 2 sons. I dont post often, but felt I had to on this occasion to thank you all for the kind words. Andy was a down to earth, humble fella with a wry Liverpool sense of humour. He never made a fuss. Everton was always his club, although Watford was probably the club at which he is most remembered as their number 1 GK in the 70s. I knew about the European Cup shoot-out but never knew he was in a Toffees team that won 4-0 across the park. Typical of him...never ever made a fuss or felt anybody at Everton owed him anything. He loved Goodison and I am very proud that he was my uncle, but even prouder that my fellow Evertononians acknowledged his contribution. From all of us in his family. Thank you.

Sorry for your loss mate. Look after yourselves.

I was there when he saved that penalty against Borussia Monchengladbach. Bedlam!
RIP Andy 💙

Yes he was also in goal the day we beat lpool 4-0 at anfield
Aye, 1964, I was there. Our scorers were Harvey, Temple, Morrissey & Pickering. Not bad with 3 Scousers scoring for us and another one in goal (not sure if Labby played that day?). Andy would have played more often but Westy was first choice for about 8 years. Regarding the Police connection, I think he'd been a cadet with Liverpool City Police. RIP Andy. X

Moggsy got the 4th as the Kop emptied, we went with a weakened team - Andy made some great saves early on of that game ....RIP
