Some good moments and passes but he's as mobile as a combine harvester , add that to extreme clumsiness and poor fitness, it's a recipe for disaster especially later in games.
see i think this ... but near the end he ghosted past 2 of there midfielders for fun with a burst of pace .. then gave it away

most undecided player for everton in years

I want to like Gomes and no doubt he's had it tough on the injury front, his performances have also been much better recently but for a centre midfielder his ball retention isn't great, doesn't score enough, can't tackle to save his life and not the most mobile.

15 minute cameos should be his lot when Allan returns.

Still think he’s pretty strong, just hasn’t got the legs to then move away from the area he won his battle.
It used to be one of his strengths ball retention and recycling it but he has really regressed since his injury and I know he was patchy before but he isn't the same. I'm hoping he finds form again because he can be a good player he fit brilliantly in those first games.

I'll have to break with the majority and say I thought he was good last night. He broke the lines well carrying the ball, and I'm pleased he's started to do that. His passing was also very good and the ball to create the 1st goal was an outrageously good pass really.

He's not great without the ball which we know, but his contribution with it as very good. I actually felt he was better than all 4 of the midfielders used by Leicester, and most of us would gladly take any of them.

The criticism I would have, is like most of the team he went mkissing a bit in the 20 minutes after half time. Thats when we really needed him to get on the ball, carry us forwrd and buy a foul.

I think he's doing fine though. I appreciate its a game of opinions, and most seem to see it differently. He did well for me though.

He creates his own issues by holding onto the ball too long. He does it in areas he doesn't need to.

His positioning for a midfielder is also the worst of all of our midfielders. He steps out a couple of yards in positions where he simply isn't going to win the ball, does a half arsed lunge and is bypassed easily. No tactical awareness to keep the shape.

We can't afford midfielders to be passengers or chucking in 5/10 6/10 performances and thats what we got from him and Davies.
