Other than the derby those good games where when he was given time and space to dictate play a bit and they feel like a very, very long time ago.

He is too slow, always has been. He obviously has ability but so do loads of players. Needs to do much more and at least offer something, anything.

Agree with all you say. He also seems mentally weak. He isnt showing for the ball at all and is struggling to get around the pitch. If we can get money from a Spanish or Italian club, leagues which he might be more suited, we should get it asap

You need moral courage to succeed in football. Some call it character, others bloody-mindedness. This lad is devoid of it. You can play as much silky tiki-taka as you like, but if you lack that critical ingredient that drives you to impose yourself on the biggest occasions, well, you might as well throw your hat at it. Stylishly, no doubt, but ineffectively for sure.

Was looking at his face when he was coming off and he turned to shake Ancelotti's hand, the camera's go on him and he just looked hollow, I wonder if he's having issues with his mental health again.
