We needed a midfielder to step up and help us play through the press. He did not step up. Safe to say he's finished at this point. Honestly the real question is did he really ever have anything or did we get seduced a bit like with Bernard?

He had a handful at most of very good games.

4 or 5 poor matches for every good one.

Other than the derby those good games where when he was given time and space to dictate play a bit and they feel like a very, very long time ago.

He is too slow, always has been. He obviously has ability but so do loads of players. Needs to do much more and at least offer something, anything.
