I thought Sunday was the best he´d played all season. If we get him consistently performing, we will be such a better team for it.

Not just that, he is a player who has struggled for form his entire career, he needs to find a way of building up more than just a few games of good form. On his day he is easily our best player but if he can't do it for more than 2 or 3 games at a time it makes it hard to build a midfield round someone who is so inconsistent.

As Roy Keane just said `Its fine hes good on the ball and can pass but what about when he doesn't have the ball?" `Hes incredibly slow and we are talking about Everton competing with the top teams'.

I really hope Carlo can instill some better defensive nouse into him because he does have the potential to be a top player.
