we clear our fpp shortfall in one go, get rid of some dross and some backwater team gets some premium (?!?) players for free (apart from wages)

Think that was more aimed at your Man United and Liverpool's jetting off to Asia to play in front of 80,000 and not giving their players any real rest at all. I'd imagine ours would probably be a bit more low key.
