Not his best game, but that was to be expected. They overload the midfield and Gomes never had any breathing room. Put in a good shift defensively though.

Solid if not spectacular. He is a player we need to get. Was hobbling badly in the latter stages of the game for a good 5 minutes so I hope it isn't too serious.
So calm on the ball. Makes playing boss football look easy. Love him.

Kept it nice and simple, put in a few good defensive headers, easing himself in nicely.
He’s a pure footballer, just adds composure to the midfield and never gets fazed.

very much agreed, he played against the finest midfielder in the league and also had hazard floating everywhere, and still looked a class act, the other players trust him and you can see why
If we don't sign him on a perm I may well transfer my allegiance to wherever he goes
Add to that, he doesn't look like a daft (include an expletive of your choice here) with his woeful dress sense and the stupid glasses I've seen him wearing.
A class player who has a calmness about him, and a fine well-groomed head of hair. I could watch him all day.
