He certainly would be a useful permanent addition to our squad, he has settled and knows the club so there would be no settling in period next season.
At a price he certainly is worth buying but how many would pay 35m for him, I don't think I would.
He has been missing for two games and we were more than able to cope without him.
It seems that Spurs supporters have mixed opinions about him as well and would see him more as a squad player than a certain starter every week.

Think the manager and club have be fair with Gomes and he seems to have embraced and enjoyed his stay here, so I think he would inform Siva and the club first on any decision he makes.

I suspect it's not true that he's agreed personal terms with us. We seem to very very rarely actively pursue players before a transfer window even begins.

Just looks like Spanish media creating some buzz around the player to me. Probably to help negotiations.

I suspect as much as well mate. While I think he's an excellent player I'm not sure he walks straight into your midfield (I actually think Sissoko has been very good when I've seen him this season) and Winks looks an ever improving player.

The question then is, does Gomes want to go somewhere where he may (at least begin) a sub. And will Spurs be willing to spend 30 million Euro's for such a player?

Agreed personal terms with Spurs supposedly. Real shame but I'd rather keep hold of Gana and sign Kouma.

Unpopular opinion but as others have said he wouldnt be a guaranteed starter at Spurs.

Id rather we went after someone that would walk into the Spurs team and beyond.

For £25mil or less hes a good signing but i doubt anyone would have any sleepless nights if Spurs got him for £35mil++

We should be targeting players whose values will double after a season with us, as Richarlisons and Dignes have done.

As much as I like him, Spurs need a top, top CM. I cant see it personally but you never know, if Levy can get him for £20mill then he will be all over that.

Paper talk, don't believe a thing in the media, the papers are trying to sell players to the top 6 everyday and they are very rarely correct. teams outside the media luvvies aren't allowed good players, bloody cheek of it, how dare we.
