I'd try sounding him out, it would be worth a try surely?

He can get another job at an established CL club but if we get in there quickly and offer him a truck load of money for 2 or 3 years work he wouldn't sniff at it. He's said before how much he enjoyed managing in England and he'd like to come back if he got the right offer. He might fancy coming here for a few years before retiring or when Madrid or Milan eventually decide they'd like him back

Worst he can say is no, the board would be foolish to at least not consider it.
Some good points there, agree at least got to try!

He is getting linked with West Ham. Yes West Ham.

Of course he would come here. We have just paid £40m+ for Sigurdsson and £23m for a Dutch Tom Cleverley so money is there to lash down the toilet should he wish to.

I expect we are at the very least having the conversation with his people this morning, I know I would be if I had just overseen the purchase of £140m restructuring to see my investment struggle against a Cypriot rabble with 10 men.

Go get him Everton...

This is like those wanting Brexit because we're a massive country who'll do boss and become a China-style manufacturing giant.

We're not big enough for Ancelotti. We haven't shown the ambition to attract an Ancelotti. Hell, Moshiri would have to take another overdraft to cover sacking Koeman ffs

It's a non-starter. Ambition is fine but it has to be grounded with a sense of reality.

It's another reason why Loew is a good shout

There'll be trepidation from some of the bigger clubs of signing up a man who has been in international football for so long

We could offer him a project, and would pay him well. We're his perfect post-Germany location IMO

A ready made "big name" manager like Ancelotti would probably want to go to an already successful club. Loew strikes me as the man who would like a project

You're persistent, Michael. I'll give ya that.
