If you take the time to read some of my posts, I mention people comment on how fantastic our away support is.Really? Frankly I'd be surprised if anyone in the rest of the country was so aware. Are they getting the impression from TV? Doubt it, it has never been an issue that has come over on the telly. Are they getting it second hand, from the Press? Doubt it, the Press is not interested in anything to do with Everton. I read many newspapers and I truthfully can't recall one article or even a reference to 'the treatment Barkley (supposedly) gets'. That just leaves websites. In other words they are just regurgitating what is being said by Evertonians on our websites. A circular, self-supporting generation of a myth.
PS - do these very aware and knowledgeable associates of yours ever comment on the brilliance of our away support?
When you are at the game the booing is totally embarrassing, but when you hear from other people it makes my toes curl.
Getting on the back of young promising players is unforgivable, and not supporting a team which is struggling by booing again is unforgivable.
It does beg the question why go the game if you are going to Boo, surely the word 'support' captures why you go the game. I appreciate we have our views and yes we pay our money so can vent our annoyances.....but surely booing is one step to far
