Not sure why this didn't hit me later. earlier this year I was invited to MEATFEST 2014. Every year, dating back to 2001 one of my friends and his buddies get together for three days of meat and rum-fueled, fruit flavored, easy sippin' demon booze. And beer. The host city rotates, with 2014 being in Tucson, I was able and invited to attend. Some of the bits:

Memphis style Ribs (with fusion Memphis/Kansas City in the background, I believe)

That is a sampling of what came out, like clockwork ever 30-45 minutes, during a six hour window on the Saturday of the event... the only one I attended as I was training for one of those obstacle runs two weeks later. A breakdown of the grilling schedule... These are all really really smart people as well. Big Bang Theory smart, with me being the resident Penny. Everything is meticulously planned, so even multiple cups of their rum punch won't disrupt the Meat Train. I have no idea how some of them keep it up for the whole weekend.

Just ground beef, right? No spices or seasoning.

Seasoning? Maybe some salt and pepper. That's it.

There is a titanic struggle going on now over who has the best pork tenderloin sandwich.
Indiana natives are accusing Iowa of having boring food. This is Indiana we're talking about here, ffs. Yes, the corn is awesome, but...

BTW, you will almost always get one of these from a little white framed joint with a takeout window, probably named The Snacker # 4.
