American Food

American over here, born and raised in the heartland/midwest. I lived in Minnesota for a couple of years and my favorite food experience over there was definitely the "Juicy Lucy," pictured below:

Cheese is inside the patty which is really a game changer. Dry burger just doesn't exist in this case.

Coming in second is Mesa Pizza's Pesto Chicken Pizza:

I'm sure that it pails in comparison to England, but there is also a place in Minneapolis called The Anchor which has the best fish and chips I've ever had. (I've never been to England, however.)
A Juicy Lucy is always a happy surprise. meat+cheese = good.

Welcome.

More news you can use...

Why pair Girl Scout cookies with milk if you can pair it with beer? Brass Tap beer expert Matthew Stock said the many ingredient variations in beer makes it easier to pair with food.

Everything from cinnamon to coriander can be found in brews in the U.S.

“There are just a lot more flavors in beer because of its larger ingredient list,” Stock said.

Anyone building their own personal beer-cookie flight can either pair like flavors to like flavors - or use complementary flavors, depending on the cookie, Stock said.

Stock gave us a few suggestions for the more popular Girl Scout cookies, but said that beer drinkers shouldn’t be afraid to experiment.

They’ll be happy at the end, regardless of the pairing, because they’ll have cookies and beer, he joked.

“There are very few wrong ways to drink beer and probably very few wrong ways to eat cookies and desserts,” Stock said.
