American Food

Went to Taco Bell twice when I was last over

3 weeks later still wasn't shitting right

Just phenomenal

When I was in college the big promo for Taco Hell was their $.59, $.79, $.99 menu...it was a student's dream. A welcome break to 10 for $1.00 ramen noodles that were the staple of my diet back then. Being a VERY poor student made Taco Bell feel like splurging back then.

Taco bell is by far the best fast food chain, we need it desperately over here

My friend is taunting me with what I am missing.

Mmmm... Drop biscuits.

Meanwhile, under the "they would say that at A&M, wouldn't they..." file

If you live in Texas, you probably don't need another reason to eat more beef brisket, but researchers at Texas A&M just gave you one: it's healthy.

Brisket has a high level of oleic acid which regulates cholesterol levels, according to Dr. Stephen Smith, a professor in the animal science department at Texas A&M.

works for me.

I haven't been in Texas long but I've been here long enough to know not to trust anything that comes out of A&M or College Station in general.

Or so the Austinites tell me, I dunno

Contrary to what others may say, you realize that Austin is surrounded by Texas, and is not really part of it, right?

Kind of like D.C. and America that way. Texas starts back up again about the time you get to Lockhart for some brisket.

Black's, Smitty's, Kreuz... It's all good. Get some for me while you're there.

It probably is, but not if you eat copious amounts of it, which no doubt people over there do lol

Only if it's good brisket.

Good or not, it's probably good for you in a decent portion. But this is America, so the portions start from 'supersized'.

We're still Texas. We're just the People's Republic of Texas, and we'll declare war and fight for representation of Texas in DC when y'all least expect it. Currently in the amassing an army stage.

Oh yeah, Lockhart's already on the list. I'll go wait in line at Franklin's once too, just to say I've done it.

Just once though. I've heard it's good but not worth the hype.

I'm going to Miami on Sunday, I've not been there before, but I've been to New York and Hawaii, so tried a bit of American Food. I'm going to try the Cuban Sandwich whilst in Miami, has anyone got any food recommendations for Miami?
