Ambition.

Haven't we spend 500 plus million in 5 years and most of that in the last what 2 or 3?

I would say that's ambition.

What's lacking isn't ambition its decision making. Are we doing the right things across the board to succeed.

Are we getting the right people? Why is there such a high turnover on players? How do we keep our best players?

There is no quick fix we have to build to the point where we can attract a top manager or develop one ourselves. Same goes for the players we have no choice but to build young players into a style and system, Marco may not be the right coach who knows but Brands has the task to rebuild us into consistent European challengers again. But make no mistake it won't be quick if it ever happens the top six are now streets ahead of us and we don't have a rich enough owner to blow other team's away.

We’ve shown more ambition spending wise in the last 4 years than in the 10 before, managerial wise we’ve either shown no ambition or we think we are more attractive than we realistically are. Not one manager we’ve had since Moyes should be managing Everton. Two of them had not long relegated PL teams, Koeman did a decent job at Southampton but there is no doubt being ‘The Ronald Koeman’ swung it, if this was someone who had been an average player he wouldn’t have got near the club.

I would love to know the actual managers we have approached in the past 5 years, and what they actually think about Everton as a lot of the stuff I read on this forum are definitely through blue tinted glasses.
