Yes I understand the academic part, it's normally the same players the reports revolve around which make it worse
Our big ticket players. It's not going to be continuously Holgate Davies Maupay. Much is gossip about Onana. Are some caveats such as relegation or outrageous bid that is too good to turn down if we stay up, which we will of course.

He is either a really nice bright lad with his head screwed on, or an ultra savvy PR operator that knows what to say and who to say it to. Probably a mix of the two, which is fine, and will stand him in very good stead.

Frustrates the life out of me. He has pretty much everything in his locker, no doubt. But too many games he can’t even find his locker never mind open it. And youth and PL experience is a crap excuse. Has played top level football and had elite coaching all his life. Youth International captain, full International in a strong setup. Every pundit and coach (apart from Dyche) says he’s a world beater. The things he’s failed at for us repeatedly are in no way specific to the PL. (tracking runners off his back, spotting chances for incisive passes, dominating aerially, converting better than half chances).

If he plays to just 80% of his current potential in the remaining games our flaccid midfield will be transformed.

I think maybe both, he does seem like a really clever kid.

I'd love him to be in top form every game but honestly think it's just a bit of first season rustiness and also having to play in a poor squad. I don't think he'd be this hit and miss playing in a decent side.

Oh I pity anyone playing in front of of our defence and behind our “Striker”.

If you’d asked anyone who knew what a football was last September which of these players would have the best season in centre midfield, they’d have all been wrong:

Onana
Joelinton (as in non International Brazil striker Joelinton 😂)
