Allardyce Revisited

..whether it was ‘the boince’, whether it was luck, whether it was tactics and hard work on the training ground, Allardyce did remarkably well getting us to 27 points around Christmas. I doubt any manager could have got a better return. The challenge now is to get us four more wins before the end of the season. I honestly don’t know if we’ll get to 40 points.

Folk want this team to be more expansive. I want this team to be more expansive but i’m not certain they are capable. Game after game with no shots on goal might be more about the quality of players we have than Allardyce’s tactics.

It is a big challenge to win 4 games with these disgraceful bunch of so called footballers. They literally just gave up against Spurs like those games under RK and Unsy.

Allardyce has to be brave here, drop Jags forever along with the other OAP, Keane surely needs played now ahead of those two. At LB play Garbutt until we sign some one but get shut of Cuco. That is the start of the root and branch. Midfield need to stick with Gana, Schneids, McC, & Rooney.
Upfront stick with Tosun, DCL, Lookman, Siggy, & Bolassie. Not perfect by any means but needs to stick with these as the first team choices and play them week in week out.

Needs to look at some of the younger players about game time for them and recall a loanee or two. You regulars will know better than I which od these should be called on. But Allardyce needs to start now and stop pissing about with Old Guard.

The fact that most of the players walked off the pitch after Saturdays hammering looking as though their shirts won't need to see the inside of a washing machine before we play WBA tells me the fault doesn't lie with the manager or his coaching methods.

The shirts need to go in the S**thouse with the players still inside them.

Brilliant, so the manager takes no responsobility in picking players who aren't "working for the team"

Faultless logic

There is a point there Chris, but it in no way excuses this bunch for playing as they did. Said elsewhere if they do not want to know then drop them and get rid. Me I would even cancel contracts and tell them to go and screw themselves.

..let’s not forget the multitude of systems and players that were tried earlier in the season. As somebody pointed out yesterday, when players are out of the side they are increasingly seen as ‘saviours’ when the reality is that it’s just moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

That is true Eggs but this rot started way back in the summer under RK in the Europa. Still stick with what I said in my post. As an Everton of many decades, I am absolutely lived with this pathetic bunch.

Oh I agree the players are also to blame, but the style of play is making the players look worse and that comes from the manager and his coaching staff.

He’ll get us to over 40 points I feel but it won’t be pretty. The players operate in a system which is governed by the manager. Fitness, tactics, style of football, are all determined by the manager. Even players technique can be improved by good coaching. Yes these players are not capable of getting us into the top 4 but to say they aren’t capable of getting shots on target, scoring goals and winning games is simply not correct. He’s got a week between games from the 5th January onwards, something that Unsworth didn’t have. We should see an improvement by the end of this month beginning of February. If we don’t then that’s down to him and his coaching staff.

Losing 4-0 to a Spurs team that beat Real Madrid V 4-1 to A Southampton team that struggle to beat anybody.Lets not let your blind hatred of Allardyce get in the way of facts. This group would struggle to look convincing under any manager you'd care to name.Without huge slices of luck we'd be adrift at the bottom already.Pen misses v Watford and WHU Newcastles preference to hit the woodwork instead of the net.Mane looking for glory instead of either of his unmarked team mates,Rondon not sure about which is his right or left foot...the list goes on and on.

Rooney needs bining too and Siggy in there where he is playing. Get a proper wide player on the left to give us balance and also the LB a dig out

Just working so many miracles.

Diabolical.

And trying to subtly water down fans ambitions in interviews and press conferences with sound bites such as ‘we need to be more boring’, ‘we don’t have the personnel to attack’. More like we don’t have the personnel at backroom staff to coach attack.

Well looks like we ain’t got the staff to coach defending either.

If this was Unsworth ffs. Be shat slinging all over.

Thank goodness for the point in this EXPECTED LOSS....

There we go, another steaming pile of crap served up by the specialist in mediocrity and doing just enough. Anti football at its finest.

Particularly enjoyed his game plan of playing route one against a team that has a defensive set up where every player is over 6 foot.

Playing pacey wingers only to play the ball to their feet deserves a mention too.

We are truly unwatchable.
