Yes. Even for corners too high up. Excellent player coming onto play. He is like a wall. Doesnt have the pace to chase back.

Tbf he kept pace with Rashford just fine yesterday.

It's his tendency to dive in that's the main issue. That leaves gaps in behind and teams are just being able to pop it around him.

We need to tighten up, but Allan is not a sitter. He's a box-to-box player.

Until we stop looking for scapegoats things will never improve. Davies broke through, and he was being let down by the likes of Schneiderlin. Then Gomes was world-class and was being let down by the likes of Davies. Now Allan is world-class but is being let down by Glyfi and the aforementioned Gomes.

We need to stop looking for scapegoats and realize that we have a chronic lack of pace in midfield and are tactically naive. I looked on the BBC sport website prior to the game and there was a United fan saying that Fred and McTominay would be out gunned in midfield by our three.

The overestimation of our midfield is baffling. United played a midfield two but were simply far too athletic for us.

Allan is very good but we would see even more from him if we played an actual defensive midfielder who is happy to sit and doesn't get attracted to the ball.

That's my only criticism is he so eager to get involved he leaves pockets of space in behind him at times.

Gbamin could be the one who allows us to see even more from Allan over the second half of the season.
