I'm actually surprised more people didn't vote for him for MotM yesterday. That second half when we were under the thumbscrews he was almost everywhere the ball was when it came within the width of the peno box in the final third. they weren't allowed any time on the ball to pick a killer pass out.

I effing love him, without him (and Doucoure who, TBF, second half was also immense), James would be a redundant weapon in our arsenal.

He does a lot of dirty work that goes unnoticed and a lot of his good work is off the ball, you appreciate him more when you watch it back. brilliant player.

he is Gana+ in my eyes, in that he can actually pass a ball mid to long range, and more often than not looks to pass it forwards.

It was the last 10 mins yesterday that he really impressed me and Palace were pushing for the equalizer. Holding and leading the shape, keeping up with the play, tenacity, running like it was the first ten mins, i was thinking of all the concerns about him being 29 on here. Real leadership, its infectious.
