Brilliant performance today, his positioning is brilliant. Seems to be able to sense where danger is coming from and fills gaps or get tight. Something we have missed for a few years.

The Spanish language commentators after he had that collision where he was called for the foul on Moura in the first half effectively said, "It's clear to us from the collision itself that he's not hurt, and he's most likely faking a knock to try and avoid any possible yellow card. He is clearly an intelligent snide and you have to respect that."

Thought Allan looked solid against Spurs and showed great awareness, not allowing himself to get drawn out of position chasing after players and leaving us exposed.

Was raving about him since we were linked.

Alot has been made about James (rightly so) but Allan is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Great tackler and passer and his positioning is faultless.

Would be surprised if hes not up there in the PFA team by season end.
