All is not lost

Not sure if we should be enjoying this season more than we are really. I would have been well happy with top 6 before it started but it feels a bit dissapointing at the minute. Just hope we can turn it around against Oldham on tue and as you say hopefully get the cup.

Yep, if we'd have been offered 6th in August we'd have all taken it. Small steps.
The cup would be ace though, get the monkey of our backs and all that. Can't beat a day out at Wembley too.

We will finish as a club were were we should this season and that ticks the box upstairs.

The fans, manager and players want more but hey you can only play the hand your are dealt in the long run.

WARNING: THIS MAY BE THE MOST BIPOLAR POST EVER ON GOT

I'm writing this reacting to our 2-1 loss at Norwich.
Yet another game against a bottom half team we have gifted points away, see Reading(a), Aston Villa(h), Norwich(h), Wigan(a), you get my point.
That's 12 points there, which should be ours. Gone.

Our season has went from fantastic to massively disappointment. But we have to realise, there is still 33 points to play for. I for one think 23 points out of them would get us top 5, minimum.
It's a tough ask, I know. And them 12 points or more dropped will bite us on our arse, inevitably.

But we're Everton aren't we lads?
We go again, and stay positive. I know it's hard more than anyone!
But sometimes hope is what will keep you going and we need it now more than ever, as we could see our best chance of Champions League football for a while slip away from us due to our own downfall.
So as I say, all is not lost and we must stay positive.
Oldham on Tuesday, hope our lads show a bit of fight and desire to win the game. They need us more than ever now, and yes they p*ss us off and ruin a weekend for us but getting behind them on Tuesday is a must.
FA Cup is our main priority now.

Onwards Evertonians...

Very optimistic post, in the midst of a very difficult day, If the team are ready to do the business, then lets see.

If we can't score goals we can't win anything. No team with a forward who's gone 11 games without a goal can say they deserve to be in the top 4. We'd get hammered in the champs league anyway.

Man this team pisses me off at times! I can deal with defeats to teams better than us but to lose in such a manner as we have against both Reading and Norwich really grinds my gears.
I agree that I would have taken 6th position at the start of the season but if we continue with these performances and woeful defensive displays we won't stay in 6th.
An FA cup win would soften the blow though, let's just hope we show some good home form in the next few games.
