Surely it should be the club deciding not to give out pay rises until we know what league we’re going to be playing in!?

Pickford made sense as someone will buy him for good money if we go down but nobody else would guarantee a good fee apart from Onana.

If he's not going to play in a deeper central role - the only position where he's ever excelled - there's no point keeping him anyway, and certainly not on a massive wage.
Excelled?????!!!! How about just keeping it to - there’s no point keeping him anyway and certainly not on a massive wage.

I wouldn't be giving any of them new contracts till the end of the season due to the fact that every single one of bears a lot of the responsibility for us being in relegation battles for the last 2 years and need to do much better for the club, fans and themselves and yes that also includes you Lord Iwobi. Sick of these losers hiding behind Managers to deflect how crap they have been.

The issue for me in regards to his good form before recently where he has become a bit of an afterthought is there isn’t enough sample size to justify a pay raise. If you can get money for him, good. If he stays on low wages, fine. Don’t dig our financial hole deeper

I do genuinely think he was excellent in that role last season, finally putting his physicality to proper use.

It was like the position forced him to get involved. Now he's back to being able to hide on the periphery whenever he doesn't fancy it.
